As Sr Construction Supervisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in executing critical engineering projects that support our GMP production and laboratory environments.
Our Engineering-Validation-Maintenance (EVM) department is a dynamic and highly motivated team dedicated to maintaining and improving the technical backbone of our operations. From utilities and production facilities to lab equipment and compliance programs — we ensure everything runs safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
Your day-to-day as a Sr Construction Supervisor will be varied and challenging. You will be the on-site leader, ensuring projects run smoothly and safely.
- Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, assigning tasks and ensuring flawless execution.
- Enforce safety regulations, conduct regular inspections, and proactively address safety concerns.
- Monitor work quality, perform inspections, and solve issues as they arise.
- Act as the key liaison between internal and external stakeholders — including clients, architects, and engineers.
- Anticipate and resolve construction challenges to maintain workflow and minimize project disruption.
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in construction management
- Familiar with international safety and management standards (ISO14001). A secondary safety expert certification (MVK or equivalent) is a strong plus.
- Proficient in English, Dutch is a plus.
Technical Safety Expertise
- Oversee and improve site safety systems, processes, and practices (e.g., permit to work, LOTOTO, FARIP, working at heights, hoisting).
- Lead the implementation of safety standards in alignment with J&J and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits (ISO 14001:2015, J&J EH&S, etc.).
- Coach team members to raise safety awareness and performance.
- Lead or participate in incident investigations and deliver engaging safety training sessions.
