A Fill & Pack- Technology Specialist should possess a well-rounded skill set that combines strong natural curiosity with scientific knowledge, technical expertise, and interpersonal abilities to contribute to the successful development and optimization of safe and high-performing technologies with optimal total costs for our business.

Accountabilities

Design, refine and challenge engineering concepts of filling and packing machinery and equipment with external suppliers and internal experts
Initiate, design, test, monitor, and implement new or improved robust equipment and select, fine-tune and prepare new developments for hand-over to an operational environment
Contribute to front-end loading and participate in commissioning and start-up of Capex projects
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies
It is important to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology and evaluate their potential impact on our industry. You should be able to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and product quality, and reducing costs and environmental impact
Manage technology projects
You will be joining project teams of technology projects from start to finish or lead sub-streams of it. This includes that project deliverables are completed on time and within budget
Lead or contribute to cross-functional teams:
You will work closely with other departments such as R&D, production, quality, procurement and marketing to ensure that technology initiatives are properly integrated into the overall business strategy.
Ensure regulatory compliance:
You will need to ensure that all your works complies with relevant regulations and standards, such as those related to food safety, quality, and labelling.
Provide training and support:
You may need to provide training and support to employees on your expertise field, systems and tools to ensure that they are effectively integrated into the business.

Functie-eisen

Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role, preferably in the dairy or food packaging industry.
Profund knowledge of machine engineering principles and machinery conceptualization, execution, and optimization.
Understanding of packaging machinery, technology, automation, and packaging materials.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations, such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Proficiency in various food packaging techniques and technologies, including primary, secondary and tertiary packaging
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and consistency of food packaging specifications and quality control measures
Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry advancements
Experience in using software tools for data analysis, quality control, and documentation
