Are you the Application Support Engineer who supports our Research and Development engineers to get most out of their state of the art CAD, development and simulation tools?

Job Mission
As an application Support Engineer within the IT Solution Delivery Hardware group you are responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support to ASML’s Research and Development organization, in particular the electronics designers.

When working as an Application Support Engineer at ASML you will have the opportunity to grow in your job and improve your skills in the following areas:

• Focus on multi-disciplinary Hardware Engineering processes
• Support engineering processes, assist with design way of working questions and application support (knowledgeable support desk)
• Take ownership of reported issues and escalate when needed
• Work in close alignment in a team of multiple support engineers
• Align with multiple Agile teams on solutions for the developers(users).

You will work in close cooperation with the ASML internal employees and the IT Solution Teams.

Role and Responsibilities
As an application Support Engineer you will be working in a team with 6 other Support Engineers. This team is part of the larger Hardware Engineering Agile Release Train (ART). You deliver support on IT services based on Windows and Linux to a user base consisting mainly of electrical engineers. Independently, you handle and resolve incoming calls or forward issues to the responsible teams in the ART using tools such as ServiceNow and Jira. Aside from this, you ensure the quality of our applications by performing limited testing on applications and infrastructure as part of change or escalation management.

Functie-eisen

• Bachelor level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or Information Technology
• Basic understanding and practical experience with Linux / Windows and MS Office applications
• Experience with End-User support of engineering Applications, and in particular Electrical Engineering or Firmware design, is a plus
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in the English language
• Must have experience with Siemens Xpedition and Capital

We ensure that these services are running in an optimal way and we look at innovating the services. We also support the IT applications that are used at ASML.

IT R&D supports two development disciplines: Hardware (mechanical, electrical, simulation) and Software engineering. As an IT Engineering Application Support Engineer you will be active in the Hardware group, supporting engineering applications for complete R&D worldwide.
