As a Customer Service Agent at Eurail you will help customers make their European train journey go as smoothly as possible. We offer you a flexible job with a minimum of 24 hours up to 40 hours a week. You can work Monday through Sunday between 7 AM and 1 AM. After you have finished the training, you can also work from home for 50% of your workweek. The rest of the hours you will work together with your (international) colleagues at the Eurail's office near Utrecht Central Station.

As our ideal Customer Service Agent at Eurail, you enjoy helping customers and always go the extra mile to answer their questions. You have outstanding English language skills, both in reading and writing. Furthermore, you are an empathetic individual with the ability to understand the underlying question and read between the lines. You are a flexible team player seeking a temporary job opportunity. Prior experience in a similar customer service role involving live chat is a significant advantage.

  • You have excellent writing and speaking skills in English;
  • You are accurate, with a keen eye for detail;
  • You have a good understanding of European geography;
  • You have a EU passport or a work permit in the Netherlands, plus a BSN and IBAN and your are currently residing in the Netherlands;
  • You are available to start with the training from the 12th of May on;
  • You have no holiday plans in the months: June, July and August.

In the role of Customer Service Agent at Eurail, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries via email and live chat. Therefore, it is crucial that you have exceptional writing skills and are comfortable switching between and working with different computer systems. With your strong typing abilities, you will be able to answer travelers' questions quickly and efficiently.

During your initial three to five weeks you will participate in comprehensive training sessions where you will learn everything necessary about the various travel passes and common traveler inquiries. The training will be conducted in a group of approximately 10 people, ensuring you feel comfortable and integrated. The training commences on 12th of May and is mandatory and paid.

Eurail is a highly international company that offers train tickets for travel throughout Europe. They provide customer service support across a wide range of areas. You will be answering questions about the different passes, the booking process, and providing assistance to travelers during their trips. You will become part of our passionate team and contribute to delivering the best possible customer service.

At Eurail, work is organized in shifts. Every four weeks, Eurail will ask for your availability, and schedules will be created based on this. As Eurail provides services to its customers 7 days a week from 7 AM to 1 AM we are seeking customer service agents who are highly flexible in their availability.

You are available to:

  • Work at weekends, at least 16 hours per month;
  • Work a flexible schedule between 24 and 40 hours per week;
  • At least 4 hours per shift;
  • Hybrid working schedule from home and the office in Utrecht;
  • We offer you a temporary job until the 1st of September;
  • We also cover all travel expenses by public transport and 40% additional pay during inconvenient hours.
