About the Job
As a Project Manager Obsolescence, your job is to develop strategies that reduce the impact of component obsolescence. You'll work closely with various departments like Engineering, Services, Supply Chain, and Product Teams, as well as with customers. Your role is to connect these stakeholders and ensure smooth operations when components become unavailable.

Your key responsibilities include:

Creating reports on obsolescence issues, advising customers, and presenting findings.
Collaborating with Engineering teams to address obsolescence problems and follow up on solutions.
Supporting Customer Account Teams and Project Managers with obsolescence management.
Working with Product Teams to oversee obsolescence across the entire product lifecycle.
Organizing and leading Obsolescence Review Boards to discuss and manage component challenges.
Influencing design choices to reduce future obsolescence risks.

Competenties

You have an HBO (Bachelor's) or higher degree in a technical field.
You’re interested in maintaining and managing technical products.
Experience in component availability, lifecycle management, supply chain, or procurement is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Proficiency in MS Excel.
A proactive, pragmatic, and results-driven attitude.
Able to work independently and in a team.
Fluent in English (German is a plus).
