Job description:
As a Senior Product Development Engineer you are responsible for the project-based development of new products. You are involved in the entire process - from design, calculation, documentation and industrialization.
Activities:
- Designs and calculates air suspension components, ensuring that they meet the technical specifications and requirements.
- Creates accurate 3D and 2D working drawings, essential for the further design and production process.
- Simulates components and systems in simulation software, continuously looking for optimizations and improvements.
- Creates parts lists and ensures that all required parts are correctly specified and documented.
- You draw up a DFMEA, with which you identify risks and minimize them where possible.
- Responsible for drawing up validation plans to ensure the reliability of the design.
- Provides input for the assembly manual and works closely with the assembly department.
- Provides active support in the construction of prototypes and guides the transition to series production.
- Keeps the product range up to date and implements changes in the case of adjustments to the basic vehicle (such as face lifts) or possible improvements in the areas of cost price, quality or suppliers.
- Responsible for maintaining the construction manuals and ensuring they remain up to date.
- You work closely with your colleagues from the Engineering, Testing & Workshop, Technical Documentation, Project Management and Procurement departments.

Job requirements
- You have a passion for working in technology. That's right.
- For this position you must have completed a higher professional education in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable study.
- In terms of work experience, we expect seniors to have +/- five years of work experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Naturally, you have knowledge of – and experience with – Solidworks (at least CSWA), Solid Works Simulation and Microsoft Office.

- Your monthly salary is in line with the content of your position, in accordance with the collective labor agreement for Metal and Technology.
- You work 36-40 hours per week. The distribution of hours and working days is negotiable.

Our suspension systems are developed and assembled in Varsseveld by a motivated team. We do this together with 188 colleagues, we operate worldwide with 9 subsidiaries and we are represented with partners in 42 countries. Sounds big, but it doesn't feel that way. There is attention for the customer, wherever we are in the world.
