For Moxy Oid in Best (near Eindhoven), we are immediately looking for an experienced Development engineer.
As the first R&D group in the world, Moxy OID has developed a revolutionary process that can transform building materials into sustainable products for various applications. The natural fibers are converted into a sustainable fibrous cementitious material called Cerlos. This material offers unparalleled advantages: it is fire, mold, water and termite resistant, while also being cost-efficient and environmentally friendly. Our CO2-negative process permanently stores carbon, which contributes to a greener future. With a focus on the siding applications and the facade cladding market, we are working on a sustainable world without compromising on quality.
In the role of Development Engineer, you play a key role in developing and improving innovative processes and products. You combine operational and coordinating tasks within project development and R&D, bridging the gap between technology and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Developing and testing innovative materials and processes, including raw material research, prototyping, and physical-chemical measurements.
- Operating advanced pilot equipment to realize customer-oriented solutions.
- Leading and supporting projects, from concept to implementation, including process improvements and installation of machines.
- Collaborating with internal departments such as finance, marketing, potential customers and production facilities.
- Ensuring safety, environment, and health regulations within all activities.
Functie-eisen
Job requirements:
- You have completed a HBO bachelor's degree or a university degree in Chemistry/Chemical Technology/Product Development/Innovation Management or Mechanical Engineering.
- As a bachelor, you must have at least 5 years of work experience.
- Preferably, you have a 6Sigma Green Belt certificate.
- You have experience in Project Management.
- You can handle 2D and 3D CAD programs such as Autocad. Inventor, CREO or equal
- 3D CAD program.
- Preferably you have a VCA-vol and forklift certificate
- It is an advantage if you can read electrical diagrams.
- You have experience with MS-office and can handle Excel and static programs such as Minitbab well

- Innovative and accurate with strong communication skills.
- Proactive, flexible and a real initiator.
- Good social skills and experience in working with various stakeholders.
- Mastery of the English and preferably German language.
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time to customers and suppliers.
- A passion for product and process innovation and the drive to share knowledge.
- Not afraid to get “your hands” dirty and on the other hand ready to write scientific reports.
