We’re looking for a Social & Community Impact Director to join Nike on a temporary contract to cover parental leave. You will be a member of the EMEA Social and Community Impact team focused on delivering impact to the community and the business.You need to have strong experience in leading a community engagement strategy, building and maintaining partnerships (global) and measuring and evaluating impact.

We are looking for someone who has knowledge of the social impact, corporate responsibility and sports sectors, especially community- and school-based sports programming. You have experience working in a corporate environment working with brand marketing and communication teams. You have excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills with proven ability to structure and deliver content that inspires and engages others. You are comfortable using Salesforce, Keynote and Powerpoint. You are fluent in writing and speaking English.

You have demonstrated experience in:

  • A proven track record in managing, developing and delivering an impact strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals;
  • Managing multi-sector partnerships, including with NGOs, sporting associations and governments;
  • Measure and communicate impact – contribute to the development of a measurement framework and data collection (Salesforce);
  • Pro-active and self-starter attitude with the ability to work across multiple different projects at one time;
  • Support city-based teams with grant making processes and strong project management skills to achieve team results;
  • Experience of supporting and leading cross-functional initiatives by networking, building relations, taking a collaborative approach and influencing others;
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and collaborators, and within Nike.

We are looking for a Director who will be a critical member of the Nike team at our European Corporate Headquarters. You will be working with the Social & Community Impact team for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Your role will require internal engagement with business functions to drive alignment against our 2030 impact targets.
You will oversee the Nike investment portfolio of partnerships across EMEA in support of our mission to create the Future of Youth Sport, aligned with our global impact- and business goals and be responsible for overseeing the budgets, program planning as well as the full grant making cycle.
You will support SCI team members on the planning and execution of their city impact strategies, as well as lead EMEA wide sport for development programs, with a specific focus on girls and coaching.
It is expected that this person will establish strong connections to a variety of Nike functions and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for integration and collaboration. Finally, you will support the SCI EMEA team to help local teams plan for powerful storytelling, internally and externally.

The Social & Community Impact (SCI) team leads investments that are designed to strengthen communities across the world. In collaboration with more than 120 community partners, we’re bringing research-backed, inclusive play- and sport-based programs to the next generation, with a strong focus on expanding opportunities for girls.

They are working in close collaboration with our internal teams, non-profit partners, sport organizations and experienced professionals and others to strengthen impact. Together we deliver broader social and community-focused initiatives that support Nike Inc’s goal to create the Future of Youth Sport.

Based in Hilversum, the Netherlands, this role reports to GM of Future of Youth Sport, Global SCI and collaborates closely with the EMEA SCI and Global SCI team.
