We are looking for a senior assortment planner to join the Nike team. Are you an experienced assortment planner and do you have experience with financial, product and inventory planning?

We are looking for you! It's a temporary role due to sick leave, for 40 hours a week and the upcoming 6 months. You'll be working from the European Headquarters in Hilversum.

€ 28,- till €35,- gross per hour

We would look for someone that brings energy, play and positivity. A basic understanding of Assortment Planning (WSSI experience) and good understanding of DTC Retail. That can pick up on our planning process quick. Ideally NVS knowledge. Someone who is not afraid to take a (calculate) risk, and/or is willing/excited to try something new. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills and are strong analytical and have strong problem-solving skills. You have the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences including senior business leaders and direct cross functional teammates. You have a commercial mindset and are able to negotiate and trade pre- and in- season.

  • 3+ years of experience in Consumer and/or Retail Merchandising/Assortment Planning be crucial. Offpriceand/or outlet (NVS) experience is a plus.;
  • With a consistent track record, you will have strong consumer demand, retail (drivers) math’s, financial planning optimizing margins, inventory planning skills and reporting skills;
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding detailed assortment planning, product affinity as well as higher level Omnichannel Retail and coordinated market place planning strategy;
  • ]A strategic outlook and shown experience leading projects and cross-functional teams, with a track record of overcoming obstacles and challenges to meet business expectations;
  • A self-starter mentality and be eager to drive and own end to end communication with results driven, forward thinking and proficient information seeking skills in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to network, utilize internal and external resources, deliver commitments and to meet timelines;
  • Excellent knowledge of automated planning systems, MS Windows applications, particularly Excel, WSSI, Assortment Planning tools;

In this role you will cover the Marketplace, apparell, training and basketball.
The Senior Assortment Planner role is responsible for developing and/or informing/influencing seasonal plan inclusive of RSV, net sales, margin, receipts, and inventory at the levels of Franchise/Merch Class x MPU (leveraging consistent business logic & analytics). You will develop strategies to meet CFoP strategic and financial goals and own product-driven OTB forecast to inform manufacturing decisions through to in-season optimization. Analyze the business against plan and forecasted in-season sales and inventories on a monthly or weekly basis assessing business risk / opportunity & developing action plans and driving escalations where needed Monitor top Franchise SSPs & drive x-marketplace decision-making to optimize product health and captured consumer demand and inform trading / pricing decisions. Set and manage E2E inventory health within and across CFOP’s &NMP MPU’s within your MPU, plus understanding impact on overall marketplace health. Communicate and advocate Assortment Plan to x-functional leadership team at Franchise-/Merch Class-level through the lens of CFoP and In partnership with Merchandising to optimize sell-in in line with Power Player/MPU strategy and marketplace role. Drive projects independently; Prioritize workload and deliverables within the project.

This role will be part of a bigger team of Men’s Sports Performance focused planners, with responsibility to develop plans for the Nike Marketplace side of business. The Sr assortment planner will work across various teams, including Merchandising, Finance, Marketplace planning, MFP, and S&IP. The Sr AP reports into the Consumer Assortment Planning Director.
