internship Automating Documentation Workflows with RAG

Mentor Medical Systems, an entity of Johnson & Johnson, is currently looking for an intern. The intern will be joining the innovation project team: automating documentation workflows with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). The position is for HBO or University student.

You are currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing an undergraduate degree (HBO or WO-Bachelor level) for the duration of the intern assignment. For this potential internship project you are using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). It is desirable that the candidate can work with AI technologies.

• Good written and verbal communication skills (in English) required.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for duration of internship.
• Some experience with AI technologies.
• Some skillsets required: programming Python (essential), experience with NLP libraries (transformers, langchain). Understanding of NLP concepts, text processing, and language models.

• 1. Requirements gathering: Identify specific documentation workflows to target for automation (Factory Acceptance Test, Installation Qualification). Analyze existing documentationprocesses and identify pain points.
• 2. Data Collection and Preparation: Gather relevant data sources (databases, document repositories, regulatory guidelines). Clean, preprocess, and index the data for efficient retrieval.
• 3. RAG System Development: Implement a retrieval mechanism (vector database, keyword search) to efficiently retrieve relevant information from the indexed data. Generation Component, integrate a large language model (LLM) to generate text-based answe
• 4. Testing and Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of the RAG system using appropriate metrics. Conduct user testing to gather feedback and identify areasfor improvement.
• 5. Integration and Deployment (Optional): Integrate the RAG system into existing workflows and deploy it to a production environment.
• 6. Documentation and Training: Document the system architecture, implementation details, andusage instructions. Provide training to end-users.
