We are looking for an experienced public accountant to Join the Nike team. You will work as a Lead, Stat and Tax Accounting employee.

We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. It is a role for one year (ending in the beginning of January 2026). It is a role for 40 hours a week. You will work from the European Headquarters of Nike in Hilversum.

What you bring:

  • Technical statutory & tax accounting knowledge;
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred (or local equivalent);
  • 6+ years of experience in finance or accounting;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

In this role, you are responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the EMEA statutory and tax accounting function for the specific local statutory and tax requirement as applicable. For example, financial statements, corporate income tax, VAT, B2G requirements, waste reporting, statistical & bank reporting.
You serve as the point of contact for business partners for statutory and tax accounting inquiries and resolves escalations.

Sales, Marketing, Legal, Procurement, HR,
Supply Chain, etc.
• EY (tax shared delivery partner)

What you will do:

  • Governance and review of accurate and complete Tax Submissions (VAT, CIT, B2G) for a group of legal entities, following effectiveinternal control framework, with focus on tax compliance;
  • Effective management and understanding of Tax-related finance processes (End to End) executed internally or by the 3rd party provider to ensure financial reporting integrity and accuracy;
  • Maintains documentation of statutory and tax procedures as influenced by local requirements;Building and fostering strong relationships between Tax, Controlling (value streams, general accounting), outsourcing partners, and external stakeholders;

  • Support financial (audited) statements, demonstrating clear understanding and full management of relevant areas of responsibility;
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly B2G reporting (i.e. statistical, central bank, e-invoicing, e-reporting, other institutions);
  • Support month-end and quarter close processes related to VAT & CIT;
  • Work with 3rd party EY who supports our tax compliance processes, and provide support / resolve issues as they arise with a focus on continuous improvement.
