You have the ability to convey complex information clearly and understandably.

These are the most important requirements for this position:

  • Experience in systematically analyzing licenses and applying organizational standards to review contracts for internal policy compliance.
  • Proficiency with figures and understanding of legal terminology.
  • HBO work and thinking level.
  • Fluent in English (both written and oral).
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Understanding of sales data operations in SAP-CRM.
  • Willingness to participate in (LEAP) training to stay current on tender processes in an ever-changing environment.
  • Team player but also a high degree of independence.

The Licensing Coordinator is part of the Licensing Control group, which is Springer Nature’s contract management department. This department plays a central role within the company, ensuring that license agreements comply with national legislation, commercial practices, and internal standards and policies. The Licensing Coordinator supports the contract execution process for the EMEA region, focusing on the prompt review and processing of license agreements and other documents in accordance with company standards, both legal and commercial.
The most common (daily) tasks are:

  • Review and revision of draft license agreements and against internal guidelines and policies.
  • Support with Tenders, non-standard deals, administrative and internal tasks.
  • Liaising with several internal departments (such as Institutional Sales Legal, Sales, Corporate Legal, Compliance and Product Management) to collect required documentation and approvals to participate in a tender.
  • Accomplish completeness of files to meet and exceed audit requirements.
  • Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with internal Springer Nature departments and Sales Operations team members to ensure the successful creation and signing of contracts.
