Inventory Planner

We’re looking for an Inventory Planner to join the Converse WE Inventory Management team, sitting in the wider Operations department. We are looking for someone that has experience in a similar function, including inventory, supply or production planning.

We are looking for someone who has experience in an Operations/Supply chain role, ideally in inventory or supply planning. You have a keen eye for detail. Furthermore you have a proactive, self-starter approach.
The candidate we are looking for is an adaptable team player. You are also comfortable working autonomously on your own individual categories and tasks. We are looking for an excellent communicator who is able to comfortably liaise cross-functionally with various stakeholders.

• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar function, including inventory, supply or production planning;
• A solid base knowledge of Supply Chain and Operations;
• A good understanding of an omnichannel business including wholesale, digital and retail;
• Advanced Excell Skills;
• Familiar with SAP;
• Meticolous nature with a keen eye for detail;
• A proactive and self-led mindset
• You are an adaptable teamplayer.

We are looking for an Inventory Planner to support Converse's inventory management processes. In this role, you will primarily focus on planning and executing the monthly buy process for a wide range of products, including Seasonal, Energy, Core, and Carryover categories.

In addition to managing the monthly buy process, you will be responsible for tracking and reporting on key inventory metrics, such as production, delivery, and fulfillment. Your role will be crucial in maintaining optimal inventory levels that align with our business strategy and help maximize revenue.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to various process improvement initiatives and projects, helping to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the inventory function.

A typical day/week encompasses pulling large data sets to cross reference against POs and order books to draw appropriate analytical insights, fielding email requests from liaison offices to advise on production and purchase order updates, refreshing and distributing reports which provide updates on inventory metrics to the wider business, and purchase requisition/order creation and adjustments in SAP.

Below you will find more of your tasks:

• Monthly forecasting of buy volumes to maximize demand fulfilment without driving excess;
• Buy execution through analysis of current inventory levels compared against customer order books creation;
• Purchase requisition creation and adjustments;
• Production follow up with Global and Factory Liaison offices;
• Communicating risk to the business to relevant stakeholders on topics including On Time Delivery and Order Fulfillment;
• Maintaining optimal inventory levels through smart buy plans and collaborating cross-functionally on appropriate liquidation actions;
• Ad-hoc reporting and system updates as and when needed.

You report to the IM Manager. You will work within the Inventory Management team of Converse which sits in the Planning department.
The tasks are cross functional, with planners working alongside Marketplace Ops, Inbound Ops, Logistic Center Ops, Merchandising and Planning.
