Technical work experience is not necessary to start as an assembly worker. What is important is that you can read and understand English very well. At Fokker you work with electrical cables, which requires fine motor skills and accuracy. It is also important that you can distinguish all the colors from each other.

  • You are available 40 hours a week, in a day shift on 2 shifts;
  • You have your own transport or live in the region of Papendrecht;
  • You are willing to participate in tests to test your technical skills;

After a 2-week training period in Alblasserdam, you are ready to get started on the Fokker site in Papendrecht. As an assembly worker you will assemble cabling for the aircraft industry. You will produce various wiring harnesses based on work instructions on the iPad. The wiring harnesses consist of different types of cables and connectors. They are intended for commercial aircraft, but also for private jets and military aircraft such as F16s and the JSF.

  • After the training period you work together with a buddy;
  • Read technical drawings and follow work instructions via an iPad;
  • Assembling cables to connectors into complete wiring harnesses.

Fokker specializes in the electrical systems and electrical components on board aircraft, helicopters and other aviation-related machines, such as drones. They work not only for commercial aviation, but also for the military. At the location in Papendrecht, the focus is on designing and producing these electrical systems.
As assembly worker you start with a 2-week training, so you immediately get to know many new colleagues. A buddy will then be ready to guide you even further through the workplace.

  • Day shift (07:00-15:30, 07:30-16:00, 08:00-16:30) or 2 shifts (06:00-14:30 and 14:30-23:00);
  • Shift allowance of 15.3% when you work in 2 shifts;
  • After 6 months of work you will receive a salary increase!
  • Travel allowance from 10 km and free parking;
  • Training period in Alblasserdam. Work location is Anthony Fokkerweg 4, 3351 LB Papendrecht.

When we receive your application, we will call you for an intake interview. If the conversation is positive, we will invite you for a number of tests on location. Consider, for example, an accuracy test and an eye test. When you successfully complete the tests, we will introduce you to the Fokker team leader.
