We are looking for enthusiastic students for 32-40 hours per week. The duration of an internship is at least 6 months start- and end date, duration and number of hours are negotiable.

We are looking for a motivated student (M.Sc. level) in pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, biotechnology, biochemical engineering, or another related field. The preferred start date is in September 2024. For this internship position you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university for the entire internship period.

  • Proficient in collaborative teamwork, capable of making meaningful contributions in diverse teams.
  • Process comprehensive skills in system thinking, strategy development, and process mapping, enabling effective problem solving and optimization of operational effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of general computer software is a must (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), strong digital literacy is a plus.
  • Proficient in English, fluency in Dutch is a plus.

During the internship you will identify which improvements can be made to the process description of one of our monoclonal antibody products. Based on your prioritization of these improvements, you will be tasked with designing, executing, and reporting a comprehensive study, either on a theoretical or manufacturing scale, targeting the most critical improvement. Furthermore, you will incorporate your findings in the process description. Your study findings and insights will play a key role in driving impactful enhancements within our operations.

As part of the Life Cycle Management (LCM) team, you will work closely with the Leiden LCM team members, the global technical owner, development, and operations.

This internship is in the Life Cycle Management (LCM) team at MSAT. The LCM team provides manufacturing process support and product technical ownership.
